ChinaPlas exhibition concepts

Experiential Design · 3D Visualisation · Exhibition

Making industrial innovation easier to navigate.

For Dow's ChinaPlas presence, I designed an exhibition around real applications rather than a wall of corporate messages. Industrial Packaging, Flexible Packaging, Consumer Durables and Transportation each became a clear visitor zone within one recognisable Dow environment.

Experience logic

How the space was organised around the visitor.

The visitor problem

Visitors at a busy trade show decide quickly what is relevant. Dow had several technical stories to tell, very different products to display and one large booth that still needed to feel coherent.

Journey and hierarchy

I organised the space around the way visitors would move through it. Large bilingual category signs, a consistent red-and-white structure and full-scale product settings made each subject easier to find. The 3D views let the team check sightlines, hierarchy and scale before production.

What shaped the environment

The exhibition concept, visitor flow, content zones, environmental graphics, bilingual category hierarchy and four presentation-ready 3D views.

What the design changed

The design turned a broad technical story into clear, application-based zones and gave the team a practical way to review the space before it was built.
